The Pequod: Curvy Tiny House Design with Style

This whimsical tiny house has particular vibe that will remind you about fairy tale architecture. This 208-square-foot space is about to house a couple and their two children. Named after the ship in "Moby Dick," the Pequod is a product of clever upscaling and effective use of modern amenities in a very tight space.

The Pequod is 26 feet long and weighs 11,500 pounds has maximized efficiency and organization so that there are custom-made features incorporated to make it livable despite the smaller space than normal houses. Its specially-designed pantry can be pulled out from the wall and its sink has cover so that it perfectly blends well with the walnut and hickory counter tops thereby allowing you to maximize cooking prep space. The dining table is special since it allows you to fold it out off the wall so it can accommodate up to four diners.

No expense was spared in the materials used with exquisite birchwood flooring and custom-made details that included a modified ceiling that gives a four-inch head room to the loft. Modern amenities include a washer-dryer combo, high-end gas stove, full-size refrigerator and French doors that will lead you to a wrap-around deck.

Interestingly, it managed to squeeze in two lofted bedrooms aside from the bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. Accessible via staircase, the bedroom has built-in storage that are connected by a customized Plexiglass walkway. The bathroom has a reasonable-sized shower, sink, composting toilet and a garden window.

When you go outside, you will see how the roof's curves blend well with the wood shingle and blue-colored metal cladding. There is a small deck space where you can relax, soak in the sun and enjoy a cup of coffee.
