Want to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city living? There is a tiny farmhouse away from the crowded metropolis of Bacolod, Cebu and Manila that will surely help you reconnect with nature so you just sit back, relax and unwind. When you are in house by the farm, expect the chilly wind from the countryside and the sweet cicada noise that will put you to sleep while the bright stars watch over you. Awake from the lovely chirping birds as the soft beams of the morning sun brighten your day.
The tiny farmhouse has one room with connected kitchen and bathroom. It has a wide outdoor space for lounging, stretching, and relaxing. Since it is located away from the main power grid, a stand-by generator is ready just in case of intermittent power cuts.
A farmhouse is not complete without fruit trees around you like bananas, papayas and pineapples. Help pick up some of the ripe bounties around the farm. If you want to go further outside, why not go up the hiking trail or relax your feet in the sand after a 20-minute drive down to the beach. Just in case you miss the city, you have a 30-minute drive to the Dumaguete city's business district to hang out at the mall and do some shopping.
When you go at the bottom of the hill, there is a picturesque shoreline that has numerous beach resorts all the way to the southern border of the province. If you go to the north, there are businesses, schools, restaurants, coffee shops and malls where you can hang out. The city has the beautiful boulevard that becomes alive at night.
You may reach Dumaguete City by plane from Manila or Cebu; or via land or boat from Cebu. From city, take may take a public utility vehicle to reach Bacong. It is the first town south of the city.
