Who would have thought that you can have a mobile living space at the back of your bicycle? Well, Chinese design firm dot Architects have designed a tiny quilted cube house that can accommodate up three people. It may look like a white padded fabric but the actual built is a two-meter-wide structure made from a spray polyurethane foam (SPF) thereby making it light enough for a bicycle to move it anywhere.
Called the Bao House, this mobile space resembles much like the popular Chinese bao. The foam is expanded so that it will form these bulbous pads that serves as a water-resistant membrane that thermally insulates the interior.
Since it is basically a box, it has a transparent polycarbonate roof do it can let the natural light in to the shelter while a mattress covers the floor thereby making it a comfortable sleeping space. There is no door or window but one of its side can be slide to open.
A roof of transparent polycarbonate lets light inside the shelter, where a mattress covers the floor to allow enough sleeping space for up to three people.
