Native Ifugao House

In Balanga, Bataan, there is a native Ifugao style tiny house that reflects the traditional architectural tradition up north. This tiny house is known for its coziness, intimacy and warmth as it is insulated through an efficient thatched construction.

The property itself has a four-hectare private garden with seven structures that can accommodate up to 32 guests comfortably. It is perfect for those who loves gardening and as an accommodation while touring the province. Apart from the traditional Ifugao house, it has a 25-meter natural pool, river access, a walk-in aquarium, a 20-meter high view deck, giant swings and multiple garden structures perfect for those Instagram-worthy moments.

It is not for everyone though as it has that rough, rustic charm that some may not find comfortable. Since there is no air conditioner, it can be especially warm during summer. There can be bugs and geckoes. There is no television and other forms of entertainment as it is specifically set up for guests to get away from all forms of distractions of modern living. As for very tall individuals, guests may have to bow down as the house has low beams. Outdoor cold shower is available so guests have to warm water.

Guests are provided with rice cooker, water kettle, drinking water, charcoal grill, electric fan and some cooking utensils. Cooking is not allowed inside the house for safety reasons but a grill and gas stove is available for outdoor use.
