We all know that container boxes are essential part in the trucking and shipping industries but who would have thought that some of these unused, rusty and grimy steel storage units can be converted into tiny homes. Upcyclers have managed to reinvent and reuse these with a creative flair in recent years.
Custom tiny house builders and contractors have designed surprisingly stylish shipping container homes that include all the modern amenities you can see in a typical cookie-cutter house. Some have their own rooftop decks with two boxes placed on top with another like Lego or Tetris bricks. Multi-floor units have decks that allow you to bring the outside into your home. Of course, custom builts may cost a little bit more especially if you want to have your own mountain home, modern farmhouse, backyard workshop, and other one-of-a-kind builds all made from different-sized containers.
