Spaciously Small Prefab Cabin from South Africa

Nowadays, many prospective homeowners have shifted their preference towards compact and small house living with emphasis on sustainable and green lifestyle. Although, there have been a plethora of tiny home designs from all over the world, it has become increasingly challenging to add more features in a quite-limited spatial dimension. South African design firm DOKTER and Misses have collaborated with visionary architect Clara Da Cruz Almeida to build this amazing prefab flat-pack cabin to meet such specifications.

The house was designed with maximum flexibility in mind so that it is both flat-pack for easier transport and assembly and solar-powered for off-the-grid living. They also designed an earlier prototype called Indawo/lifePOD but the latest design has metal siding unlike the transparent plexiglas of the former. The latter's modularity makes it easier to reconfigure to suit the needs of the homeowners and also allows 12 people in the space.

Would you live in here?
