This tiny student house is a prefabricated wonder that looks like a manufactured wooden furniture from Ikea. It has its distinctive contours as if the house was carved from a single piece of wood.
Designed by Tengbom Architects as an affordable living space for students in Sweden, the 10-square-meter house is an ingenious response to create a sustainable space with a smaller footprint. It's functional as well as eco-friendly and smart.
In order to be successful, the architects had to come up with an innovative approach by finding new solutions for existing problems. Although the space is very compact, it doesn't feel crowded and cluttered because of the smart and minimalist design. The unit offers a comfortable living space with all the basic requirements: a kitchen, a bathroom, a sleeping area and even a garden with a patio.
By efficiently using the space, the architects managed to create this perfectly functional and comfortable house. It may be tiny, but it's very inviting and cozy as well. The choice of wooden materials and prefabricated design makes this home energy efficient thereby reducing the rent by 50%!
